The Merlin Heritage Collection seamlessly blends classic styling with modern protection to create a versatile selection of motorcycle clothing. We use a range of different market-leading materials, including Halley Stevensons® Waxed Cotton, D3O® armour and Reissa® waterproofing to ensure the highest quality. Our heritage collection also expands into leather garments for retro riders who want the old-school looks minus the signature feel of waxed cotton. Merlin Ridge Cotec jacket

A unique combination of a matt-finish cowhide leather torso and Halley Stevensons Cotec sleeves makes the Ridge jacket stand out from the crowd. Cotec is an exclusive-to-Merlin waxed cotton fabric which allows the sleeves to be more comfortable than traditional leather, without compromising on performance or safety. A removable 125g thermal vest is included, as is a five-piece D3O® armour set to cover the shoulders, elbows and back. Ridge overall achieves a CE rating of ‘AA’. Available in sizes 38-50.

Caring for your Ridge jacket

To care for your jacket, begin by lightly brushing off any dirt or soil, and use a cold damp cloth if necessary to wipe down the jacket. Clean it in this way regularly to maintain its appearance, but don’t be too harsh as the wax will be removed. You can re-wax the jacket with our Merlin Wax Cotton Tin when it loses its waxed finish and water begins to soak into the cotton rather than bead off.
