Merlin Chigwell Utility Waxed Cotton Jacket

Chigwell Utility helps a rider effortlessly transition from hot to cool weather without the need for more gear. The 8oz Halley Stevensons® Waxed Cotton Cotec outer has been created in collaboration with Merlin and is exclusive to our ranges. It’s backed by a toasty 125g thermal lining with attached Reissa® waterproof membrane, perfect for spring or autumn rides when avoiding the inevitable showers. Zip out the internal membrane and take advantage of the mesh fronting for a summer jacket packed with airflow. Chigwell Utility is finished off with a set of D3O® armour to the shoulders, elbows and back, and double-A CE approval. Available in sizes S-4XL.

Caring for your Chigwell Utility jacket

To care for your jacket, begin by lightly brushing off any dirt or soil, and use a cold damp cloth if necessary to wipe down the jacket. Clean it in this way regularly to maintain its appearance, but don’t be too harsh as the wax will be removed. You can re-wax the jacket with our Merlin Wax Cotton Tin when it loses its waxed finish and water begins to soak into the cotton rather than bead off.
