The Merlin Heritage Collection seamlessly blends classic styling with modern protection to create a versatile selection of motorcycle clothing. Merlin Alton Leather Jacket

A timeless piece built for years of riding – the Merlin Alton motorcycle jacket is made from soft, supple cowhide leather with a naked finish. The soft leather used for the construction eliminates the awkward ‘breaking in’ time usually experienced when buying a new leather jacket. Level 1 CE-approved shoulder and elbow armour is fitted as standard and an optional back protector (such as the Forcefield 001) can be fitted in the back protector pocket. Alton as a whole receives CE Level ‘AA’ approval. A removable 100g thermal gilet provides warmth for riding on colder days, but if it gets too warm, simply remove the thermal gilet, unzip the chest vent and let the cool air flow. The details count in Alton: colour-matched British Marton Mills® tartan is used as trim inside the jacket, while the Merlin branding remains subtle with a small logo patch to the chest. Caring for your Alton jacket

Because of the ‘naked’ leather finish of Alton, we would recommend purchasing an aniline leather cleaner and an aniline leather guard. You can also buy aniline moisturiser to restore moisture to the Alton at longer intervals. Please test any new cleaners on an inconspicuous area of the jacket first.
