Product Description

The Merlin Milwich jacket features an outer material from the same Scottish mill as the entire Merlin Heritage wax collection, but with a significant difference. Code name C4X, this is the first major development of waxed cotton since it’s the creation of waxed cottons. With a 50% waxed cotton to 50% nylon composition the rider can benefit from a traditional waxed cotton finish jacket but with added abrasion protection, no requirement to reproof the garment, and experience a lighter overall weight for a more comfortable and relaxing ride. C4X from Merlin is the only kind of material like this available on the market. Style wise this is a very modern style of garment that is clean and fuss free in appearance but with the lift of fine details. Riders will experience British Marton Mills tartan liners and Merlin branded black snap studs, with Italian soft mould CE level shoulder and elbow armour (back armour pocket ready for CE insert comes off the shelf with a foam insert) and a Reissa waterproof/breathable membrane. Merlin has introduced this new technology at a keen price to help riders get into the market for C4X and experience it for themselves.

Excellent, very comfortable jacket, has held up perfectly for two years and is my only all season jacket. Great for UK riding conditions except for the really hot days when you might need something a bit lighter or vented.

Superb jacket. Love the understated style and the numerous pockets. The removable liner makes this a very versatile piece and the armour sits comfortably with or without it. And the build quality is excellent, even after my recent tumble off the bike!
One addition I made to improve it’s use was add an extra male button snap to the webbing behind each wrist zip. This allows me to secure the wrist strap when not used and stops it flapping around annoyingly. Done up, the wrists are not comfortable when not riding. A slightly more secure way of buttoning up the waist adjustment would be nice too.
